Who is BKR General Construction ?
We are a family owned and operated General Construction company that specializes in Residential Remodeling. We understand that every home and renovation is unique. Thats why we strive to deliver a seamless and hassle-free construction experience to our clients and treat them as we would our family.
About the Owner
The owner and General Contractor of BKR General Construction is Sergio. He started in Construction at the age of 16. He started this company because he saw a lack of contractors that had craftsmanship and ethics that were available to homeowners.
He studied Architectural, Civil and Structural Drafting. Once he completed this he got his certification he went on to study Construction management and Business finance. He got his GC license at the age of 23 and every two years he goes back to class to see what new Construction methods have come out. So far we have remodeled for architects, engineers, restaurant owners etc.

Initial Phone Call
Unlike other companies we know that your time is valuable. We know that between kids, work and other responsibilities the last thing you want to do is meet with sales people that will only be interested in one thing.
That’s why here at BKR General Construction the first thing we do is through the phone we will go over the general scope of the project that you have in mind. We will talk about timeline and budget and may even ask for a few pictures to get a better idea. If we are a good fit we then schedule a visit to your home.

In-Home Consultation
Once we know what you are wanting to achieve, we will come out and see the space. We will talk more in detail about making your ideas come true. We will take measurements and photos of the space. This process usually takes anywhere between half and hour to one hour. At the end of the visit you will have a verbal estimate. Then in 2 business days you will have a written estimate.

As we start to remodel your space we’ll do everything we can to make the construction phase easy on your daily life. We work closely with our clients. Throughout the project you will have weekly updates.

What are some things you can do to hire the right company?
Ask yourself what am I more focused on quality or price? Am I solely looking at price. In every remodel there are three aspects. Price, time and quality. When choosing someone to do the work you can only choose two. For example you can have someone do a awe-inspiring remodel but it will take time to get it done right. You have to figure out which of these aspects is most important to you?
What else can you do? Ask for recent references no more than two months. This will show you the current state of the company and how they are handling customers. Everyone has good and bad moments. But don't be affected by them.
Besides this just make sure they are licensed and insured and always sign a contract.
